My Brother’s Keeper Transitional Living Services

My Brother’s Keeper Transitional Living Services (MBK) is a social service organization serving adults, children and families in the District of Columbia.  Since our inception in 2006, we have been committed to improving the quality of life for adults, children and families with physical, mental and/or emotional needs through education, advocacy, and empowerment. As a result of our commitment, we will bring about practical and effective social change in a population that is often voiceless, neglected and marginalized. MBK will consistently maintain its dedication to changing the lives of individuals, families, and the community through innovative solutions and above reproach service delivery.  We invite you to learn more about the services we provide!

We have assisted adults, children and families in a variety of ways and in various circumstances.  Some of our noted accomplishments are listed below.

  • D.C. Fatherhood Initiative Grant recipient
  • Minority Owned & Operated D.C. Certified Business Enterprise (CBE)
  • Provided housing assistance to individuals facing foreclosure, homelessness, and employment instability.  Individuals were able to avoid displacement, relocation and foreclosure as a result of our housing counseling assistance.
  • Assisted numerous clients with obtaining employment, housing, higher education pursuits, familial reunification, re-entry and mentoring through our case management, advocacy and educational services.
